Step 01
Before you begin
What I want to create todayOne or two specific things — not a long list.
Why this matters to me
Step 02
My rule for today
One thing you will not do, and one thing you will use. Two decisions made now so you do not have to make them again at 2pm.
Today I will not…Social media, news, videos — pick the one that would actually derail you.
Today I will use…One tool or format. A legal pad. A plain text file. A voice recorder.
Step 03
Time blocks
Fill in what you plan to do, then mark it done when you finish.
Take a 10-minute break every 90 minutes. Step away from the screen.
If the day goes sideways — and it might — do these three things instead of abandoning it.
Cut the list to one thing. Move to paper. Set 20 minutes and stop when it ends.
A day that produced one rough thing is not a failed day. It is a day.
Step 04
End of day reflection
Fill this in before you finish for the day, while it is still fresh.
What I actually created today
One thing that worked well
One thing I want to do differently next time
What I want to continue tomorrow
You do not need to create something big today. You need to create something that is yours.
If you felt bored at any point — that is a good sign. Boredom is often where your own thinking starts again.
